Excellence in acoustic insulation; quality has its price

Compound ‘sandwich’ sheet made of two exterior layers of our TR-0 insulation and a middle layer of EPDM weight enhanced acoustic barrier. This composition allows us to make the most of the elasticity of our TR-0 to absorb sound waves, creating a “spring” effect which muffles the sound (just as occurs in our TR-0). However, it also includes a weight enhanced acoustic barrier core, with which we also achieve a barrier effect which breaks the sound waves. These two effects are the two single ways of preventing the transfer of sound (absorption + mass) and we have combined them in a single insulation which also retains some incomparable thermal qualities. For any other purely acoustic insulation product on the market, thermal insulation would have to have been added previously in order for it to comply with the new Spanish Technical Building Code, with all the related extra labour costs, loss of useful work space and double the cost of materials that this would involve. The thermal conductivity of TR-5 is 0.033 W/mK.
It is particularly recommended for dividing walls, machinery rooms, lifts, and in walls, floors and ceilings for all those who want a high level of soundproofing in their home or workplace.
It comes in a box with a gift installation kit, which includes special fixings to prevent acoustic bridges. The sheets have tongue and groove half-lap joints to also prevent thermal bridges and to facilitate installation.
