Frente Forjado

Solution for thermal bridges

Grafipol Frente Forjado is a black rigid expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam with low thermal insulation, whose raw material particularly increases thermal insulation to equal the density of conventional EPS.

Its excellent thermal characteristics and specific design make it specially recommended to insulate reinforced beams of reinforced concrete structures and intermediate insulation, thereby removing thermal bridges in the façade of the slab edge.

Available for two possible uses, based on the insulation coating:

  • To apply cover with mortar and reinforcement mesh.
  • To coat with ceramic gravel, ensuring continuity with the brick wall.
  • To be covered with a face-facing brick plaque, leaving a heel on top to resolve the support of the façade brick.

It may be placed before the concrete, fixing the formwork (riser) or mechanically fixing the slab edge once the formwork of the structure has been removed.

Option 1

Application on slab edge with direct mortar cover over the insulation.
