Frente Forjado

Solution for thermal bridges

Grafipol Frente Forjado is a black rigid expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam with low thermal insulation, whose raw material particularly increases thermal insulation to equal the density of conventional EPS.

Its excellent thermal characteristics and specific design make it specially recommended to insulate reinforced beams of reinforced concrete structures and intermediate insulation, thereby removing thermal bridges in the façade of the slab edge.

Available for two possible uses, based on the insulation coating:

  • To coat with ceramic gravel, ensuring continuity with the brick wall: flat surface panel with a thickness of 20 mm.
  • To apply cover with mortar and reinforcement mesh: mechanised surface panel in the form of dovetail of a thickness of 30 mm.
  • To be covered with a face-facing brick plaque, leaving a heel on top of the 50 mm wrought to resolve the support of the façade brick: a panel with a machined surface in a 30 mm thick dovetail form.

It may be placed before the concrete, fixing the formwork (riser) or mechanically fixing the slab edge once the formwork of the structure has been removed.
